Starfield Direct and Xbox Games Showcase presentation time revealed
Microsoft has revealed the times for its back-to-back June presentations, the Xbox Games Showcase and the Starfield Direct. The presentations were previously announced last month, but details so far are quite sparse.
We know, for example, that the Starfield Direct will contain details about Starfield, such as gameplay and story details. There’ll also be developer interviews and “insider information”, which is a very silly term to use in a public presentation presented by the people making a thing.
Before that, though, will be the Xbox Games Showcase, which is set to show off “new surprises and first-looks” from Microsoft’s first-party developers, as well as a look at new and existing games from third-party developers. Most of what’s shown in this presentation is likely to end up on Game Pass, since Microsoft has a pretty good incentive to show games coming to the most interesting part of the Xbox ecosystem.
The last big presentation from Xbox showed off a number of Bethesda games, like Redfall, as well as The Elder Scrolls Online, Forza Motorsport, and Minecraft Legends. It also both revealed and released Hi-Fi Rush, and while it’s unlikely there’ll be any major shadow drops during the June event, you can never rule anything out.
As for when, exactly, you’ll be able to watch this double feature of presentations, it’ll take place on June 11 in most of the world, or on June 12 if you’re on the far east of the globe. Note that Microsoft’s announcement blog for this has multiple times wrong, but we’ve got the right ones.
Here are the full times for each timezone:
June 11
- PT: 10am
- ET: 1pm
- BST: 6pm
- CEST: 7pm
- IST: 10:30pm
June 12
- JST: 2am
- AEST: 3am
- NZST: 5am
You’ll be able to watch the show on the official Xbox Twitch page, as well as on YouTube, Facebook, and presumably Twitter as long as that functionality doesn’t break or get placed behind a paywall by June. Microsoft says it’ll be available in over 30 languages, including American and British sign language, which is always good to see.
