Saturday’s WNBA All-Star Game might be without two of its featured players after the Storm’s Jewell Loyd and the Mystics’ Elena Delle Donne suffered injuries over the weekend.

Loyd, who was picked for former Seattle teammate Breanna Stewart’s team, is slated to be a starting guard for Team Stewart. She suffered a sprained ankle in the fourth quarter during Saturday’s game against Stewart’s Liberty. Loyd didn’t return to the game after suffering the injury.

After the game, Seattle coach Noelle Quinn said the severity of the injury was unclear at the time. It’s uncertain whether the ankle will prevent her from appearing in the All-Star Game, which is scheduled for Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET in Las Vegas.

As for Delle Donne, the former WNBA MVP suffered a sprained ankle during the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Sun. She limped to the locker room after stepping on an opponent’s foot and did not return to the game. Della Donne was selected by A’ja Wilson in the All-Star draft.

Delle Donne’s injury is expected to be evaluated this week ahead of the All-Star Game.
