Sue Bird says fans played large part in decision to return for 19th season with Seattle Storm

Sue Bird says the Seattle Storm fans were a big reason for why she returned for another season in the WNBA, "The fans started chanting 'one more year.' and it blew me away."

Sue Bird credits WNBA fans for playing a major role in why she decided to return for her 19th season with the Seattle Storm. "Our season ended last year, sadly, on a loss in the playoffs. It was a home game and as I was exiting the floor the fans started chanting 'one more year.' and it blew me away."

The four-time champion also told SI's Ashley Nicole Moss where she's seen the most growth in the women's game and where there is still room for improvement.

The superstar also spoke on how she surprised Kiki Rice, Gatorade's National Girls Basketball Player of the Year recipient with the award.
