There is finally some good news amid a slew of injuries in the wrestling industry, which is something that has plagued many companies including WWE.

Unfortunately, we've seen the likes of CM Punk, Charlotte Flair, and Shotzi go down with serious injuries. Luckily, Charlotte has been able to walk around and regain strength in the gym, while CM Punk is able to move freely without an arm brace. While both stars still haven't been medically cleared, it's a great sign.

Now, one other injured WWE on-air talent is on the verge of returning to television.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that a one-time authority figure on WWE TV is expected to return soon. It's noted in the report that Sonya Deville has been training for her WWE comeback following knee surgery. There's no exact date for Sonya's return, but it appears she will be ready for the spotlight once again.

Deville was last seen in action on the July 28, 2023 episode of Friday Night SmackDown. She teamed with Chelsea Green in a losing effort against Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair. It'll be interesting to see if WWE reunites Sonya Deville and Chelsea. Ever since Sonya's absence, Chelsea's new tag team partner has been Piper Niven.

At the time of Deville's injury, her and Chelsea were the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. Once Sonya's share of the gold was vacated, Niven forced Green to be her partner, although the two have developed chemistry over time.
