WWE World Devastated by Death of Former World Champion Bray Wyatt

The wrestling world came together to share heartfelt messages after the passing of Windham Rotunda.

WWE star Bray Wyatt, whose real name is Windham Rotunda, died Thursday, according to an announcement from WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. 

Levesque took to X, formerly known as Twitter, on Thursday to share the unexpected passing of the former world champion, who was only 36 years old. No cause of death has been reported.

“Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda - also known as Bray Wyatt - unexpectedly passed earlier today,” he wrote. “Our thoughts are with his family and we ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time.”

The stunning news of Wyatt’s passing rocked the WWE world, with current and former wrestlers, as well as media members, sharing their condolences on social media.
