WWE’s ‘Monday Night RAW’ Moving to Netflix From USA Network
WWE’s Monday Night RAW is poised to leave linear television after 31 years on the air and is set to move from USA Network to Netflix in 2025, the streaming service announced on Tuesday morning.
Beginning in January 2025, Netflix will be the exclusive home of Monday Night RAW in the United States, Canada, the U.K. and Latin America, as well as other territories, according to Netflix. Additional countries and regions are expected to be added over time.
Additionally, for users outside of the United States, Netflix now owns the rights to other WWE shows such as SmackDown and NXT, as well as premium events like WrestleMania, SummerSlam and Royal Rumble. This makes Netflix a comprehensive one-stop shop for wrestling entertainment for international viewers.
“We are excited to have WWE Raw, with its huge and passionate multigenerational fan base on Netflix,” Netflix chief content officer Bela Bajaria said in a press release. “By combining our reach, recommendations, and fandom with WWE, we’ll be able to deliver more joy and value for their audiences and our members. Raw is the best of sports entertainment, blending great characters and storytelling with live action 52 weeks a year and we’re thrilled to be in this long-term partnership with WWE.”
Although the length of the deal is unknown, it has been described as a “long-term partnership” between the WWE and Netflix.
