One major champion under the WWE banner might be forced to relinquish the gold.

Injuries are an unfortunate reality of the wrestling business. Performers take extra steps to ensure the safety of themselves and their peers, but things don't always go according to plan. That's why WWE has urged its fans to never try the moves they see on TV unless they are being guided by a professional.

This injury in particular could derail major plans, as the champion in question is a popular superstar in the midst of her hottest run yet.

At this time there is no word on the exact nature of Ripley's injury. She was involved in a backstage brawl with her rival Liv Morgan during last week's episode of Monday Night Raw. Liv even threw a chair at the Women's World Champion to begin the backstage assault.
