Watch: XFL Guardians Coach Terrell Buckley Rips Team’s Effort in On-Field Interview

Buckley had seen enough of his team on Sunday.

The XFL’s Orlando Guardians lost to the San Antonio Brahmas, 30–12, Sunday to fall to 0–2 on the season.

Orlando shuffled quarterbacks throughout the game, with Paxton Lynch and Deondre Francois both seeing time under center, but neither were able to revive a struggling passing attack.

Orlando coach Terrell Buckley was asked about his team’s performance in the midst of the loss, and he didn’t hold back.

“We’ve gotta get different guys in there,” Buckley said. “Obviously I’ve got guys out there and they aren’t competing, they aren’t making plays, so we’ve gotta get people in there, young men that that want to play…that want to compete and make plays.”

When Buckley was asked more about what he saw from players as he’s on the sideline, he doubled down.

“I’m seeing guys not performing, I mean look at the scoreboard! They’ve gotta perform!”

It’ll be back to the drawing board for the Guardians, who head to Arlington in Week 3 to face the Renegades.
