Report: Bills receiver Sammy Watkins likely to need season-ending surgery
Bills receiver Sammy Watkins would miss the rest of the season if he needs a second foot surgery.
Bills receiver Sammy Watkins is believed to require a second surgery on his injured left foot that, which would end his season, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
Watkins will meet with Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte to determine whether the surgery is necessary, according to Schefter.
The Bills placed Watkins on injured reserve Friday, meaning he will be out for at least eight weeks.
Watkins had surgery to repair a stress fracture over the off-season but returned to the field a week into training camp this summer. He played in Buffalo’s first two games of the season but was sidelined in Week 3.
