Bang The Table Podcast: Lessons Learned at Lions Training Camp

New "Bang the Table" Detroit Lions podcast examines lessons learned.

The Detroit Lions have completed eight practices during training camp.

When padded practices began, several lessons emerged from a young football team that is seeking to elevate its stature in the league.

The recent practices have been very physical, with the defense being very aggressive when the opportunity presents itself.

This week, the "Bang The Table" Lions podcast explores how the defense has emerged and stifled the offense the last couple of days, Aidan Hutchinson's emergence and how the competitive nature of practice will improve the team.

Also featured on the latest All Lions podcast, cornerback Cam Sutton joins to discuss the physical Day 8 practice, along with how the communication has been building with the defensive backs.

Sutton has been quite productive during camp, as he has already demonstrated veteran leadership by performing consistently on a daily basis.

"Just coming out here and competing, setting the expectations and the standards high for ourselves," Sutton told All Lions. "Getting after each other, but just being smart about it. Protecting each other, protecting our brothers. And then obviously, you know what I mean, looking forward to stepping out, stepping out with other teams outside of this 'Honolulu Blue and Silver' (for joint practices), man. Just one day at a time. Just right now, we're just chopping wood and carrying water right now."
