Pair of Signings for Hamilton Tiger-Cats Includes Former XFL Gunslinger

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats made two additions on offense, bringing in quarterback Harrison Frost and offensive lineman Quinton Barrow.

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats offense got some new pieces Thursday with the additions of quarterback Harrison Frost and offensive lineman Quinton Barrow.

Frost spent last year in the XFL with the Seattle Sea Dragons as a backup and received an invite to New Orleans Saints rookie minicamp back in May. West Georgia had Frost as its starting quarterback in 2021 and 2022, and he finished with 6,730 yards and 50 touchdowns to 18 interceptions in 22 games.

Barrow worked with the Buffalo Bills during training camp in August after briefly signing with the Kansas City Chiefs following the NFL Draft. While at Grand Valley State, he started at left tackle in 23 games in 2019 and 2021 and was named CCA All-Region and All-GLIAC First Team.

Overall, the past two weeks have been relatively quiet for the Tiger-Cats, whose only other signings have been Thaddeus Moss late last month and Caleb Biggers this week. Frost becomes the fourth quarterback on Hamilton’s active roster, competing with Bo Levi Mitchell, Taylor Powell and Kevin Thomson. Barrow will have stiffer competition with 12 other offensive linemen on the roster.

The Tiger-Cats will face the Calgary Stampeders on June 7 to open the 2024 season.
