Top Five 2024 CFL Free Agent Offensive Linemen
The quarterback position is without a doubt the most important in football, which gives the offensive line a strong argument for second place.
The good news for CFL teams looking up to shore up their own lines entering 2024 free agency is that there are some solid options available, including two who were featured on CFL.ca’s list of the top 30 pending free agents in the CFL.
Here is the list of the top five offensive linemen available to be signed when 2024 free agency kicks off in February.

5. Hunter Steward (Ottawa Redblacks)
The long-time BC Lion made the move to Ottawa in 2022 and appeared in 17 games at left guard last year for the Redblacks. At 31 years old, Steward is one of the most experienced offensive linemen available in free agency.
4. Sean McEwen (Calgary Stampeders)
Center Sean McEwen started his career in Toronto in 2016 before signing with the Stampeders in 2020. The Calgary native has a strong chance of returning to his hometown team, but he'll certainly have the attention of the rest of the league after a 2023 performance that earned him a spot on the All-CFL West Division team.
3. Patrick Neufeld (Winnipeg Blue Bombers)
Winnipeg has two free agent offensive linemen that were CFL All-Stars in 2023 with Patrick Neufeld being one of them. Last season was the third season in a row that Neufeld was named a CFL All- Star and CFL West All-Star as he previously earned it in 2021 and 2022. If the Blue Bombers can’t bring Neufeld back for 2024, there will no doubt be interest for the offensive lineman.
Patrick Neufeld is one of two free agent offensive linemen who were CFL All-Stars for Winnipeg in 2023. The CFL All-Star and CFL West All-Star selections were the third-straight for Neufeld, who will draw plenty of interest from other teams if the Blue Bombers don't bring him back in 2024.
2. Jermarcus Hardrick (Winnipeg Blue Bombers)
In addition to Neufeld, Jermarcus Hardrick was also named as a CFL All-Star for Winnipeg last year. The Blue Bombers have had Hardrick on their line since 2016, which has consistently been one of the best in the CFL. The All-Star selection last season was the second of his career, and he was also named to his third CFL West All-Star team. The Blue Bombers will not be letting both of their offensive linemen go, so expect to see one of both of them return to Winnipeg.
1. Darius Ciraco (Toronto Argonauts)
The 2023 season was the most accomplished of center Darius Ciraco’s career, resulting in his first CFL All-Star selection. Ciraco was one of three Toronto offensive linemen selected after the unit allowed a league-low 19 sacks in the regular season. The Argos are expected to do what they can to bring back Ciraco as a key part of protecting their MOP quarterback Chad Kelly.
