South Florida Bulls vs. Wisconsin Badgers

Both South Florida and Wisconsin come into Saturday’s matchup off of victories. South Florida (2-2) opened American Athletic Conference play with a 17-14 win over Connecticut, while the Badgers (2-1) set a slew of records in a 68-17 smashing of Bowling Green. This is the first-ever meeting between the schools.

Week 4: Wisconsin 68, Bowling Green 17

The Badgers set a Big Ten record with 644 rushing yards, breaking the old mark of 573 set by Michigan State at Purdue in 1971 and tied by Michigan against Northwestern in 1975. Melvin Gordon became just the sixth Wisconsin runner to score five rushing touchdowns in a game. Tanner McEvoy set a Badgers record for most rushing yards in a game by a quarterback with 158.

Week 2: Wisconsin 37, Western Illinois 3

The Badgers won their 19th straight home opener. Wisconsin recorded a safety on the opening kickoff, its first safety since 2008 against Minnesota. The Badgers held Western Illinois to 34 total yards in the second half.

Week 1: LSU 28, Wisconsin 24

Wisconsin’s 268 rushing yards were more than LSU surrendered in any game last season. Melvin Gordon had 138 yards and scored a touchdown on 17 carries, the 11th 100-yard rushing game of his career. Rafael Gaglianone’s 51-yard field goal was Wisconsin' first of 50-plus yards since 2009. Wisconsin led 24-7 before surrendering 21 unanswered points.

Week 4: South Florida 17, Connecticut 14

The Bulls held the Huskies to a season-low 145 total yards. South Florida has forced three turnovers on an opponent’s opening possession this season. Marlon Mack ran for 103 yards and a touchdown on a career-high 31 carries.

Week 3: North Carolina State 49, South Florida 17

Freshman Ryshene Bronson’s 75-yard touchdown catch was the Bulls’ longest touchdown reception since 2011. Lamar Robbins returned an interception 46 yards for a score. It was just the third meeting between South Florida and the Wolfpack.

Week 2: Maryland 24, South Florida 17

The Bulls forced six turnovers in the game and tied a school record by forcing seven fumbles. Linebacker Auggie Sanchez had his first career fumble recovery, interception and touchdown in the game. South Florida had its first defensive score since last Oct. 12 at Connecticut.

Week 1: South Florida 36, Western Carolina 31

The Bulls ran for 294 yards, 127 more than last year’s season high of 167. Marlon Mack tied the South Florida single-game record with 275 rushing yards. South Florida’s 454 total yards was its most since 2012.
