Penn State left tackle Andrew Nelson was helped off the field after sustaining an injury on the last play of the first half against Buffalo on Saturday, reports PennLive.com.

The Nittany Lions replaced Nelson with Paris Palmer to start the second half, according to multiplereports. Nelson started 13 games for Penn State last year, which was his redshirt freshman season. Nelson played 11 games at right tackle and two at left.

Nelson appeared to have his legs rolled up on during a pass play. He was evaluated on the field before leaving with trainers.

The Nittany Lions led the Bulls 10–0 entering the third quarter. Penn State is looking to bounce back after an opening week loss to Temple.
