There’s plenty of buzz surrounding the Colorado football program and new coach Deion Sanders.

Since taking over the head coaching position, Sanders has made the Buffaloes one of the most discussed teams in the nation. And it seems TV networks have taken notice, too.

In 2023, Colorado is set to have three nationally televised games in its first three weeks of the season for the first time since the 1990 campaign when the program won its lone national championship.

Fox Sports announced that the Buffs will be featured on Big Noon Kickoff in Weeks 1 and 2 for their matchups against TCU and Nebraska, respectively.

Colorado’s Week 3 showdown against intrastate rival Colorado State will be aired nationally on ESPN during the late-night Pac-12 After Dark window.

That’s remarkably good exposure for a team that went 1-11 last season and a testament to the star power of Sanders.

“Deion has basically changed the whole perspective on Colorado,” said Derek Crocker, Fox’s vice president of college sports, via The Athletic. “Fans want to tune in to storylines, and right now, he’s one of the biggest stories in college football.”

Sanders stepped into the head coaching role at Colorado after a successful stint at Jackson State. He brought plenty of talent with him to Boulder, including that of his sons Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders, both of whom transferred to the program.

Following the intriguing offseason in Boulder, ESPN and Fox are backing Colorado to provide fans with some entertaining action early in the season.
