Caleb Williams to Shedeur Sanders After USC Beats Colorado: ‘Keep Ballin’’
Two of the best quarterbacks in the nation faced off on Saturday in Boulder, as No. 8 USC downed Colorado 48–41 on the road in a high-scoring affair that turned from blowout-to-interesting down the stretch.
At the center of the offensive explosion on Saturday were the two quarterbacks. USC signal-caller and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams went 30-for-40 passing for 403 yards and six touchdowns to one interception. Meanwhile Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders did all he could, continuing his ascent among the nation’s best under center with a 30-for-45 performance for 371 yards and four touchdowns to one interception.
Williams couldn’t help but be impressed with Sanders on Saturday.
“Keep ballin’!” Williams was heard telling Sanders as they met on the field after the game.
While Williams is undoubtedly the best quarterback in college football, Sanders has quickly proven that he belongs at the FBS level as he continues his stellar play.
The Jackson State transfer has been at the center of Colorado’s strong offensive play this season, which is a big reason why the Buffaloes are in position to make a run at a bowl game after winning only one game under Karl Dorrell a year ago.
