Let's kick off the new week in style on "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral".

We welcome the first five-star prospect onto the show in 2024 Alabama quarterback commit Julian Sayin.

Sayin, out of Carlsbad, Calif., recently won the prestigious Elite 11 quarterback competition and joined the program to talk about his summer plans, his senior year goals and more.

The 6-1 quarterback told listeners his love for football began at a young age as he began playing quarterback at just 6-years old.

He described what life is like living just north of San Diego as he enjoys living close to the beach and spending time with his friends while not training.

Sayin discussed his relationship with new offensive coordinator Tommy Rees and talked about his coaching style, offensive mindset and how the Californian will fit into the scheme in the future.

It's no secret that the current Alabama quarterback room is full of talent and Sayin and Gaither discussed how that played into his college decision.

Bryce Young won the Heisman Trophy while at the Capstone and Sayin discussed how that played into his decision but he wasn't the only Californian to inspire Sayin.

Check out the show to find out what fast-food Sayin eats almost twice a week, the biggest reason he and his brother fought as kids and his thoughts on the value of 7-on-7 competitions.
