TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Fresh off its win over the host and 4-seed Arkansas Razorbacks, Alabama Softball got more positive news on Friday morning.

Four Crimson Tide players earned All-SEC accolades. Pitcher Montana Fouts and third baseman Ashley Prange both made first team while Jenna Johnson and Larissa Preuitt were selected to the second team.

Fouts' first-team placement is the fourth of her illustrious career in Tuscaloosa. She has pitched 213.1 innings this season, allowing just 44 earned runs — good enough for a 1.44 ERA. Fouts has struck out 311 batters in 2023.

Prange had another good season for Alabama after transferring from Ohio State after the 2021 season. She has been the most productive hitter for the Crimson Tide this season, leading the team in home runs (15), RBIs (43) and OPS (1.066).

Johnson and Preuitt were both major contributors to the team in 2023 — earning their first All-SEC honors.

The Crimson Tide plays in the semifinals of the 2023 SEC Tournament on Friday night against either No. 1 Tennessee or No. 8 Florida. First pitch is scheduled for an approximate 5:30 p.m. CT start on ESPN2.
