Alabama sophomore golfer Nick Dunlap has been selected as one of 10 players to represent the United States in the 2023 Walker Cup.

Dunlap, out of Huntsville, is currently ranked No. 10 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and is considered one of the best golfers on the Alabama team. His selection gives Alabama head golf coach Jay Seawell nine total selections to the Walker Cup team, he's the seventh selection in his Alabama tenure.

The 2023 First-Team All-SEC selection has had a strong summer on the amateur circuit winning the 61st Northeast Amateur and the 123rd North & South Amateur event.

Dunlap will join nine other Americans at the Old Course at St. Andrews in Scotland to take on 10 amateurs from Great Britain and Ireland. The competition will commence on Sept. 2 and 3.

The competition will be divided into two portions with foursome matches in the morning and singles matches in the afternoon. The United States carries a three-event win streak into this year's match.

As a freshman, Dunlap finished tied for 11th at the 2023 NCAA Championships and turned in a top-20 finish in 10 of his 12 events for the Crimson Tide. His strong season led to a No. 16 overall ranking by Golfweek's individual rankings.
