Football Friday with the BamaCentral Staff on The Joe Gaither Show

We welcome our football experts to set you up for all the big games in college football's Week 12 on The Joe Gaither Show | Episode 123: Nov. 17, 2023.

Just because the No. 8 Alabama Crimson Tide is playing the UT-Chattanooga Mocs this weekend doesn't mean we take football Friday's off on "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral".

We welcome BamaCentral's Chris Walsh, Katie Windham and Austin Hannon into the program to make it much smarter and set us up for the weekend ahead.

The trio reminds the audience of the last time these two schools met. In 2016 Alabama took a convincing win but started off rather slowly. They're have been a number of instances in the Nick Saban-era where some smaller schools have come into Bryant-Denny Stadium and given the Crimson Tide a little more than Alabama bargained for.

What will be the keys to continuing the momentum that Alabama has already built? The Tide is on an eight-game winning streak and has qualified for the SEC Championship game, so therefore what is there to gain in this upcoming contest?

Our panel discusses Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe and his progression through the season and Walsh makes a bold claim about a certain bronze statue.

There are three SEC games to pick this week and just two other games that appear to possibly have chances to help Alabama's playoff chances so therefore we close the show by making our picks and then settling on Saturdays fate for Alabama. Will the Crimson Tide win, and a more challenging question, will the Crimson Tide cover it's 45.5-point spread?

Keep up with each show on Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. Shows can also be heard on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Amazon.
