How Good Was Ryan Williams at Saraland on The Joe Gaither Show

We bring in Michael Brauner to talk about "Hollywood" Williams on The Joe Gaither Show | Episode 136: Dec. 12, 2023.

It's a great Tuesday on "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral" as we welcome Michael Brauner of 105.5 WNSP in Mobile.

Brauner spent several Friday nights this fall watching and calling Saraland Spartans football games and taking in newly reclassified receiver Ryan Williams. He tells the audience what kind of a player the Tide will be getting in "Hollywood" and if the fans can expect him to contribute right away.

Saraland didn't win the Class 6A State Championship Game on Friday, but were the Spartans better in 2023 than they were in 2022? Brauner highlights the whole team as this past weekend's title game was one for the ages.

After a handful of smaller recruiting topics we move into the College Football Playoff and get Brauner to describe his experience at the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta a week ago as the college football world lost its mind on championship weekend.

The discussion moved into the transfer portal as Alabama has seen its fifth player enter the portal this week. Brauner and Gaither take time to discuss the transfer portal and who Alabama should focus on re-recruiting even if they haven't been a major asset to the program to this point.

We continue with college basketball as we wonder if this Alabama basketball team has the capabilities of overcoming early season defensive deficiencies. This evolved into a discussion about attendance in Coleman Coliseum and what needs to happy to get more people behind the Alabama basketball program as a whole.
