Is This Nate Oats's Best Basketball Team on The Joe Gaither Show

Where does this season's team rank amongst head coach Nate Oats's other Alabama basketball teams on The Joe Gaither Show | Episode 175: Feb. 21, 2024.

The Alabama Crimson Tide basketball program is six games away from clinching its third Southeastern Conference regular season championship in five years. Tide100.9 FM's Hunter Johnson joins "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral" to talk about where this team ranks in Crimson Tide head coach Nate Oats's record book, Kalen DeBoer's first month and the Alabama baseball program.

Johnson joins the program for the first time since last Summer and we jump straight into discussing how strong this basketball season has been, considering all the offseason changes the program endured.

The Tide Hoops Pre/Postgame Host discussed how this year's team has matured and grown from their early season struggles into conference leaders entering the home-stretch of the year.

Everyone has theories as to why Mark Sears, who's leading the SEC in scoring this season and converting at a 45 percent clip from the 3-point line, isn't getting national attention and Johnson offers his up to the audience.

The Crimson Tide enters arguably the toughest stretch of its season with five "Quad 1" games in a row remaining. How will Alabama bounce back from an embarrassing effort on the glass this past weekend against Texas A&M and handle the Florida Gators who also rebound the ball at a high clip?

Is Alabama in danger on Saturday as they eye a road trip to Lexington to take on the Kentucky Wildcats and are we overlooking a road game at Ole Miss lingering on the schedule?
