Quietly, Alabama women's basketball and 10th-year head coach Kristy Curry have put together a very solid season, currently boasting a 19-6 overall record with an 8-4 record in SEC play.

The Crimson Tide has won four of its last five, and seven of its last nine games during its recent ascension all the way to fifth place in the SEC standings. The only two losses in that nine-game stretch game at the hands of No. 1 South Carolina and No. 5 LSU.

Alabama is led by senior guard Brittany Davis, who ranks third in the SEC at 18.2 points per game and was awarded SEC Player of the Week last week. No other member of the Crimson Tide averaged double figure scoring, but recently Illinois transfer Aaliyah Nye and Georgia transfer Sarah Ashlee Barker have upped their play to give Davis the offensive help she needs.

There are four regular season games remaining on Alabama's schedule, and three of them come against teams below the Crimson Tide in the SEC standings. Alabama's regular season finale against Ole Miss could decided who gets the double-bye in the SEC Tournament, as the Rebels have a 1-game lead as the standings sit today.

Next up for Alabama is a home game against Vanderbilt, who sports an abysmal 2-10 record in conference play. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. CT on Thursday.
