The transfer portal giveth, the transfer portal taketh. Fresh off losing Colby Shelton and Luke Holman to the transfer portal the Crimson Tide caught a break.

According to Austin Hannon of BamaCentral the Crimson Tide has received news that rising senior infielder Bryce Eblin has opted to remove his name from the transfer portal and return to the Alabama baseball program for the upcoming season.

Eblin has appeared in 105 games for the Crimson Tide across three seasons, largely serving as a utility infielder. He carries a career batting average of .264 into his final season at The Capstone with 47 RBIs and four homeruns.

The infielder suffered an injury early in the 2023 season, limiting his contributions to largely pinch-hitting and pinch-running situations.

He managed a .986 fielding percentage in 2023, making 18 putouts with 50 assists and just a single error.

The Crimson Tide's starting infield of shortstop Jim Jarvis and second basemen Ed Johnson are out of NCAA eligibility, leaving an opportunity for Eblin to earn significant time in 2024.

Eblin joins former Rutgers outfielder Evan Sleight as transfer portal additions for new head coach Rob Vaughn as he undergoes roster management.
