Original Story
Former Alabama guard Joshua Primo is currently a free agent after the San Antonio Spurs released him last October amid scandalous circumstances.
On Friday the NBA issued declared Primo will be suspended for four games should he sign with another franchise according to ESPN's senior insider Adrian Wojnarowski.
Primo allegedly exposed himself to multiple women while a member of the Spurs and therefore San Antonio released him.
The NBA's investigation said Primo "engaged in inappropriate and offensive behavior by exposing himself to women." However, Primo maintains that his conduct was not intentional, and the league did not find evidence that he engaged in any sexual or other misconduct apart from these brief exposures.
The Canadian played for the Crimson Tide for the 2020-21 season where he earned a place on the SEC All-Freshman team. He averaged 8.1 points, 3.4 rebounds and .8 assists per game over the course of 30 games while helping Alabama win both the SEC regular season and tournament titles.
The San Antonio Spurs selected Primo with the 12th overall pick in the 2021 draft and he spent time in both the NBA and the G-League during the 2021-22 season. He appeared in 50 NBA games as a rookie, averaging 5.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.
He only played in four games during his second season before he was waived by the Spurs due to allegations of indiscretion.
Only 20-years old, he'll likely be on several NBA team's radar, however the four-game suspension creates a hurdle for him to return to the league.
