Alabama Lands 14 Players on Preseason All-SEC Teams

The Crimson Tide is well represented on the 2023 Coaches All-SEC Team.

The Southeastern Conference opens play on Saturday as Vanderbilt takes on Hawaii. The coaching staffs around the league submitted their ballots for the Preseason All-SEC Coaches Team and the Alabama Crimson Tide was tied with the Georgia Bulldogs with 14 representatives.

However, while Alabama had five first-team selections, the Bulldogs had 10. 

The Crimson Tide didn't have a quarterback on any of the three teams listed but had nearly every other position covered including special teams. 

All three Alabama representatives at SEC Media Days 2023, JC Latham, Dallas Turner and Kool-Aid McKinstry earned places on the first team and were joined by veteran kicker Will Reichard. McKinstry actually makes the first team twice, both as a defensive back and a punt returner.

LSU, which many believe will be Alabama's top competition in the SEC West, was third in the league with 11 representatives across the three teams.
