One of Bryce Young's favorite targets at Alabama has entered the transfer portal.

According to multiple reports, Crimson Tide junior receiver Ja'Corey Brooks is in the transfer portal.

Brooks will always be remembered for his game-tying touchdown catch in the final minutes of the 2021 Iron Bowl, but he was one of Alabama's top receivers in 2022 with 674 yards and eight receiving touchdowns. In his freshman campaign, Brooks had 15 catches for 192 yards and two touchdowns, one of which was the catch that iconic Iron Bowl catch.

This year in a season hampered by injuries, Brooks has just three catches for 30 yards and no touchdowns. He did appear in nine games this season with the majority of his playing time coming on special teams, including a blocked punt against Ole Miss.

"He's done a great job," Alabama head coach Nick Saban said about Brooks back on Nov. 6. "He's done a great job on special teams. He's been a little hurt which has contributed to his role to some degree. But he's been great. He's done a great job on special teams. He's done everything we've asked him to do. When he's gone in the game he's done a really good job of doing what he needs to do. He got his shoulder banged up which has been a little bit of an issue for him all year in the game so we'll see how it goes this week as well."

Brooks did not appear in any game after these comments from Saban and has been seen with his arm in a sling on the sidelines.

He will have one year of eligibility remaining at his new school. Brooks is now the third player to enter the portal since the transfer window opened alongside backup quarterback Tyler Buchner and defensive lineman Isaiah Hastings.
