'Would You Play Malachi Moore This Weekend?' on The Joe Gaither Show

Let's talk Malachi Moore against Arkansas, Mark Stoops on NIL and SEC Silly Sound on The Joe Gaither Show | Episode 99: Oct. 11, 2023.
In this story:

It's an Wednesday evening edition of "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral" as we discuss everything that's happened with the football program over the last two days.

Alabama and Arkansas head coaches Nick Saban and Sam Pittman joined the SEC Coaches Teleconference call on Wednesday and each revealed something intriguing. Saban told reporters that safety Malachi Moore and punter James Burnip were both day-to-day with the injuries they sustained in this past weekend's matchup with Texas A&M.

Given the Razorbacks offensive ineptitude and the quality of the remaining opponents on the schedule, would you play either key player this weekend during homecoming?

Saban spoke on Wednesday evening about the partial solar eclipse coming this weekend, so we spent a little time preparing all the attendees to not look directly into the sun when it occurs.

Pittman discussed the devastating Alabama front and singled out the Crimson Tide edge rushers on the call as being a problem in the upcoming weekend's game. Given the porous state of the Hogs offensive line, we begin discussing how this weekend's game will go.

Next we steal a topic from our friends at Just a Minute and talk about who some of the candidates are for Alabama's mid-season MVP. Who is your pick?

We then break into a broader discussion about name, image and likeness as Kentucky coach Mark Stoops has found himself in a little trouble with Big Blue Nation after losing so badly to Georgia this past weekend.

The program finishes up with the Week 6 edition of SEC Silly Sound Montage
