5-Star Wide Receiver Chooses Crimson Tide
Alabama fans are already familiar with Class of 2025 five-star wide receiver Ryan Williams.
Williams won the Alabama Gatorade Player of the Year as just a sophomore for Saraland High School in 2022 and is considered the No. 1 wide receiver in the class of 2025.
Every Batman needs a Robin, and Alabama found just that in Class of 2025 receiver Jaime Ffrench, who committed to the Crimson Tide on Saturday afternoon.
"It's just something about Tuscaloosa, every time I would be in town it was something different," Ffrench told 247Sports's Steve Wiltfong. "I had never felt nothing like it. Being at other schools and seeing other things, I had never felt nothing like it."
Out of Jacksonville, Florida, Ffrench is considered the No. 4 overall receiver in the class by the 247Sports composite. The 6-1, 185 pound athlete caught 44 passes for 671 yards with five touchdowns in 2022 while also running track and playing basketball at Mandarin High School.
Ffrench chose Alabama over Ohio State, Florida State, Penn State and Notre Dame.
He was in Tuscaloosa in March for the Tide's Junior Day event and returned to campus in June for an unofficial visit. Alabama assigned tight ends coach Joe Cox and receivers coach Holmon Wiggins as his primary recruiters.
The Tide's 2025 class currently sits at No. 2 overall with five commitments. Interestingly enough, all five commitments are offensive players.
"With them (Alabama) having Julian (Sayin) signed, Julian's a great guy, with Ryan (Williams) being signed, Ryan's my boy– It's something special around there," Ffrench said. "You definitely have Turbo (Anthony Rogers) as well. We're building something special."
