With three open scholarships to fill on the roster and the offseason moving along, Alabama is tightly in the mix for a highly-coveted transfer target out of the Big West conference.

Cal State Fullerton guard Latrell Wrightsell Jr. will visit Alabama tomorrow, followed by a visit to Arizona next week.

A 6-foot-3 guard, Wrightsell averaged over 16 points per game last season for the Titans, garnering himself First Team All-Big West honors. He added 4.5 rebounds per game as well, and shot over 38 percent from three for the season.

Wrightsell spent the past three seasons playing for CSU Fullerton, improving his role every season. He made a massive leap from his sophomore year in 2021-22 to his junior season last year, jumping from 6.7 points per game to 16.3.

The Omaha, Nebraska native has been linked to Alabama for some time, and has also already visited in-state Nebraska last week.

Wrightsell will be the third transfer to make a visit to Alabama in the past week, joining Wofford forward BJ Mack and Hofstra guard Aaron Estrada who just wrapped up their visits.

Having only played three years, Wrightsell will have two seasons of eligibility remaining, his senior year and a fifth COVID year granted to all student-athletes who played during the 2020-21 season.

Alabama is still awaiting the decisions of three players testing the NBA Draft waters with the option to return to school, and has already had two scholarship players enter the transfer portal this offseason.

If Wrightsell were to join the Crimson Tide, he would join a transfer class already featuring Jaykwon Walton, Wichita State's leading scorer from this past season.
