Recruiting Rundown: Alabama Hosting Final Game-Weekend of the Year
The Alabama football program saw a big-time commit join the cause this past Sunday as Zion Grady, 5-star edge, out of Charles Henderson High School in Troy announced his intention to play for the Crimson Tide.
Grady's commitment keeps the eight-man 2025 class as the No. 1 class in the nation as next year's cycle is still in its infancy.
Fast-forward to this weekend on campus where it will be the final game in Bryant-Denny Stadium this season. The crowd will enjoy sending off a large senior class, a comfortable win and using the weekend to host future recruits.
Tide-Bits
Alabama is hosting two 2024 recruits that are still up in the air for their college football.
Jadan Baugh is a 3-star running back out of Decatur, Ga., who committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks in May of this year.
Daune Morris is a 3-star wide receiver out of Chattanooga, Tn. The 5-foot-10, 180 pound athlete earned a scholarship offer from the Tennessee Volunteers at the beginning of the month.
Most of the focus appears to be on the in-home visiting period that occurs at the conclusion of the season, ahead of the December 20 early-signing date.
Carrying on Crimson
- Alabama basketball added a preferred walk-on this past week in Spence Sims out of Saraland High School. Sims is a 6-foot-1 guard who's scored over 1,000 points in high school and had a number of collegiate offers. He'll just a class that currently features scholarship athletes Aiden Sherrell and Naas Cunningham.
- Alabama baseball added Beau Bryans to its 2024 baseball signing class. Bryans is set to be a junior after spending his first and second years at Jones County Junior College.
The non-football sports have seemed to hit a major cool-down after the early signing period while football appears to instead be preparing for a fast and furious final month of the season and recruiting before the early signing-date.
Alabama is expecting to have a number of its 2024 class members enroll early, including quarterback Julian Sayin, meaning we'll have a clear picture of how this class stacks up nationally soon.
