Another One Leaving: Arkansas LB Enters NFL Draft
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas has seen its linebacker room shrink to no returning productivity for 2024. Antonio Grier, who transferred to the Razorbacks this season, has announced on X he will enter the NFL Draft.
“Bet on me! First I would like to thank God for blessing me with each and every opportunity. The past six years has been a true journey. I have embraced it and grateful for it. Thank you to the University of South Florida for believing in a kid out of Atlanta, Georgia. I wouldn’t be who I am today without you! Thank you, Arkansas, for accepting me with open arms and treating me like family! Forever WPS! After conversations with my family and long thought, I am declaring for the NFL Draft and furthering my dreams. I’m betting on me!”
Grier started his Razorback playing career with a pick six against Kent State on his very first snap. He compiled 36 tackles in limited action in 2023.
Why Are Hogs' Linebackers Running Out of Town So Fast?
The Razorbacks have lost four other linebackers to the transfer portal this offseason. Chris Paul (Ole Miss) and Jordan Crook (Arizona State) have already announced their next destination. Redshirt freshman Mani Powell has yet to announce his new home. Jaheim Thomas entered the portal following a season where he led Arkansas in tackles with 90.
Recently, the Razorbacks added two players to the 2024 class in Top 100 prospect Bradley Shaw and former 5-star linebacker Xavian Sorey who transferred in from Georgia.
