Top Receiver Ready for Unfinished Business in Razorback Uniform
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — 2023 leading receiver Andrew Armstrong will return to Arkansas in 2024, Armstrong announced in a Twitter (X) post Friday.
Armstrong returns after a strong first season on the Hill. Transferring in from Texas A&M-Commerce, he fit in right away and became quarterback KJ Jefferson's top target even when the pass offense became stagnant. Armstrong finished the season with 56 catches for 764 yards and five touchdowns. He was the only Razorback inside the SEC's Top 30 in receiving yards.
The news comes after two hits to the receiver room since the transfer portal window opened. Sam Mbake is no longer with the team and yesterday Bryce Stephens announced his intentions to enter the portal.
Arkansas is still awaiting decisions from Isaac TeSlaa and Isaiah Sategna as coach Sam Pittman looks to round out his receiver room in 2024.
