Wooo Pig Weekend Officially Set
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – There comes a day once per year where an Arkansas fan can drink in all the Razorback experience he or she can stand and not break the bank.
Each year, a day filled with the Razorback spring football game, a softball game and a baseball game all align in perfect harmony.
Fans know it as Wooo Pig Weekend.
This particular year, that day falls on April 15, which means Arkansas fans can celebrate paying their taxes, or not, by drowning themselves in Razorback festivities.
The university amps the experience by sprinkling in food trucks, live music and the full HogTown experience similar to the festival-like atmosphere before Razorback football games in the fall.
Wooo Pig Weekend is set for Saturday, April 15 on The Hill.
Football kicks off the day at noon with the Razorbacks’ spring game inside Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium. HogTown, where fans will find the music and food trucks, will be open prior to the game in Lot 44 near Gate 14 on the north side of the stadium.
This will be fans' first opportunity to see a newly revamped Arkansas football team. Sam Pittman replaced nearly his entire coaching staff and features a heavily retooled roster anchored by KJ Jefferson, Raheem Sanders, Quincey McAdoo and Dwight McGlothern.
Admission to the spring football game and HogTown will be free.
First pitch for the softball team at Bogle Park is set for 3 p.m. for the first of a three-game series against the UAB Blaszerfs. After back-to-back SEC titles and trips to NCAA Super Regionals, Arkansas enters the 2023 season ranked No. 6 in the ESPN/USA softball poll.
Tickets for all three games against UAB are available by visiting arkansasrazorbacks.com or by calling the Razorback Ticket Center at 479.575.5151.
Fans can then wrap the day with a heavyweight fight between two of the most elite baseball programs of the past three years when No. 8 Arkansas and No. 2 Tennessee lock up in what may a de facto regular season SEC championship series.
The two held the No. 1 spot of the college baseball regular season nearly every week of the 2021 and 2022 seasons.
The Razorbacks open Dave Van Horn’s 21st season as the head coach of his alma mater next weekend in Arlington, Texas as part of the College Baseball Showdown. Arkansas opens against No. 19 Texas on Friday (Feb. 17) night at 7 p.m. before playing No. 18 TCU on Saturday and No. 9 Oklahoma State on Sunday.
