FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas couldn't get the key pitching or hitting and Ariel Carlson hit a pair of homers for six RBI in the fifth inning for a run-rule 14-4 win at Bogle Park on Sunday afternoon.

It ended the season for the Razorbacks, who were beaten by Oregon earlier to land in a hole where they had to win two games over the Ducks on Sunday to advance to a Super Regional.

The Hogs finish the season with a 40-19 record and will start making preparations now for next season.

You can follow along for the recap of how it unfolded for the Hogs below:

Game 1:

First Inning

Top: Rylin Hedgecock, who delivered that massive bomb to get them to Sunday, drove in the first run of the game with a sacrifice fly after Reagan Johnson and Raigan Kramer started the game with back-to-back singles against Ducks starter Stevie Hansen.  A walk to Cylie Halvorson was followed with a walk a batter later to Hannah Gammill to load the bases with two out. but Kacie Hoffman lined out to center to end the threat. Hogs 1, Oregon 0

Bottom: Oregon answered with leadoff batter Kai Luschar getting a walk from Hogs starter Chenise Delce, then a one-out walk was followed by a single from Ariel Carlson to tie the game. The Ducks then a three-run homer from KK Humphries to center field that has opened a huge lead early. The Hogs out of the game with no further damage. Oregon 4, Hogs 1

Second Inning

Top: Lauren Camenzid leads off with a single but can't get anybody else to advance her.

Bottom: Delce retires the Ducks in order to keep everything the same. Oregon 4, Hogs 1

Third Inning

Top: Hogs get a one-out line-shot single to right by Halvorson and Kristina Foreman takes a pitch off her shin to put two on with one out for Gammill. The junior from Beebe delivered a three-run homer to right field that has tied the game again. Hogs 4, Oregon 4

Bottom: Oregon got a pair of back-to-back singles, but then the Hogs' infield turns a double play and an infield pop-up ended the inning. Hogs 4, Oregon 4

Fourth Inning

Top: Razorbacks get a single from Johnson, but nothing else for a fairly quick inning.

Bottom: Delce walks the leadoff batter, then gives up a single and coach Courtney Deifel makes a change in the circle and brings in Callie Turner with nobody out and two runners on base. Oregon gets an RBI single to re-take the lead. Oregon 5, Hogs 4

Fifth Inning

Top: Gammill gets a single on a pop fly that falls in the middle of three Oregon defensive players. But the Hogs can't move her around as they are now down to their last six outs.

Bottom: Oregon gets a lead-off single and Ariel Carlson delivered a two-run homer to extend the Ducks' lead and put the Hogs into a deeper hole at 7-4. Deifel has gone to Robyn Herron in the circle. Oregon has blown the game open with another pair of runs, pushing the lead to 9-4. Then added another run to make the game within sight of getting run-ruled. A single pushed across another run and the Ducks' Carlson hit her second homer of the inning, this one a grand slam to walk off a regional win. Oregon 14, Hogs 4
