Quincey McAdoo Expected to Have Slow Comeback

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — You can put Arkansas defensive back Quincey McAdoo on the not available this season list after hearing coach Sam Pittman on DriveTime Sports on The Buzz 103.7 in Little Rock with Randy Rainwater and Rick Schaeffer this week.

Apparently the injuries McAdoo suffered in a car wreck May 1 were worse than anyone has known. The university can't release details about that, it's up to the family on medical information about college students and no announcements or updates were mad. You don't stay in a hospital 17 days for a hangnail, though.

All they released was this:

“Yesterday morning, Quincey McAdoo was involved in an automobile accident. He was transported to Washington Regional Hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. He is in stable condition and recovering. Our sole focus now is supporting Quincey during his recovery.”

"Got a lot of work to do," Pittman said on the radio show, adding that playing this season probably wasn't going to happen for the Clarendon native this season.

McAdoo started four games at cornerback as a true freshman for Arkansas in 2022 after moving from wide receiver midseason. He quickly became a key player for the Razorback defense, recording 30 tackles, six pass breakups, two interceptions and a sack in the last five games of the season. McAdoo missed time during spring practice with an undisclosed injury before returning in time to play in the Hogs’ Spring Game.
