Auburn is 1-2 all-time against Memphis, with the lone win coming in 2015, where Auburn rushed for 257 yards on the way to a 31-10 victory.

The ironic thing about this game is that it was, in fact, the 2015 Birmingham Bowl.

So these two football teams met in this same bowl game just eight years ago.

This would be a fun matchup against a Memphis team that is usually known for a high-scoring offense.

Auburn fans hope the Tigers are playing in a better bowl game, but it would be fun to be back playing in the postseason after not being bowl eligible a season ago.

Although playing in any bowl game would be enjoyable, I expect Auburn to do more under Coach Hugh Freeze in his first season on the Plains.
