Auburn commit could be leaning towards decommitting from Tigers
Jalewis Solomon, 2024 4-star athlete from Ellaville, Georgia, tweeted out “Ain’t over yet,” yesterday, causing many Auburn families to wonder if he was alluding to a decommitment. Some Auburn fans are contributing this statement to his high school season. Solomon’s high school, Schley County, is 5-0 and are looking to find themselves in Mercedes-Benz Stadium for the Georgia State Championship.
An Auburn fan brought to the fanbases attention Solomon’s liked tweets. In conjunction to Solomon’s tweet, he also liked a post made by national recruiting expert, Hayes Fawcett, that says “Decommitment SZN”. This is true, during the season a lot of recruits do decommit from the schools that they have been committed to. With Auburn flipping so many of other recruits, the chance of Auburn having a commitment decommit and flip is pretty high one.
Before Solomon committed to the tigers, he was heavily favored a South Carolina commit. If Solomon does decommit, it would be safe to assume he could find himself committing to the Gamecocks.
All of the above could be nothing, but it’s definitely something to keep an eye on if you follow Auburn recruiting closely. Losing Jalewis would certainly be a blow to Auburn’s 2024 commitments. He is a great player on both sides of the ball, and a Top 100 player in the country, according to Rivals.
