Four-star offensive lineman DeAndre Cater has committed to Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers.

Cater is a six-foot-four, 340-pound offensive lineman from Santa Ana, California.

He is ranked as the 103rd best player in the 2024 class according to 247Sports composite rankings, but they have him ranked 55th in the class in their rankings.

247Sports also has Carter ranked as the number one interior offensive lineman in the 2024 class.

It's been a long time since Auburn received the commitment of an offensive lineman ranked this high, which is something that has to put a big smile on the faces of all Tiger fans.

Carter is a guy that can come in and compete for playing time the minute he steps on campus.

Offensive line recruiting will no longer be an issue as long as Coach Freeze is the head man at Auburn since he is clearly prioritizing it.

Auburn football got a whole heck of a lot better thanks to landing one of the most talented linemen in the 2024 class.

After the first win of the Hugh Freeze era on Saturday, Carter's commitment rounded this out as a great weekend to be an Auburn fan.
