New Mexico State transfer CB Syrus Dumas commits to Auburn
Auburn has landed it's 21st player through the transfer portal.
Syrus Dumas, a two-year starter at New Mexico State, has transferred to Auburn, per Jeffrey Lee of Auburn Rivals (On3).
Dumas appeared in 22 games over the course of two years at NMSU, recording 64 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and five interceptions. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound defensive back transferred in from Independence Community College before landing with the Aggies.
The Tigers earned two commitments through the portal on Sunday, May 21st, including four-star Jackson State WR Shane Hooks.
The Auburn Tigers had ten players depart from the program during the spring transfer portal window, including three backup linebackers:

Wide receiver Tar'Varish Dawson
Wide receiver Landen King
Offensive lineman Colby Smith
Defensive lineman Jeffrey M'ba
Defensive lineman Tobechi Okoli
Defensive end Dylan Brooks
Linebacker Kameron Brown
Linebacker Desmond Tisdol
Linebacker Powell Gordon
