Auburn football's most valuable players in 2023: No. 8 Gunner Britton
We continue our countdown towards Auburn's 2023 season with a ranking of their most valuable players.
Offensive line transfer Gunner Britton is No. 8 in our top 25.
Gunner Britton's Bio
- 6-foot-6
- 312 pounds
- Senior
Previous school: Western Kentucky
Britton, a four-year starter for Western Kentucky, has committed to Auburn, per his social media page. He was a former two-star OT out of Conway, South Carolina. He will have one year of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-6, 305-pound lineman was the second portal offensive tackle to choose the Tigers after Tulsa transfer Dillon Wade picked Auburn in December of 2022.
Britton had a solid season by PFF standards, finishing with a 77.2 grade. His pass block grade of 83.9 was 24th nationally among tackles. He had a career high 84.4 grade in 2021.
It could easily be argued that Britton is more valuable than Wade. Both are great pickups.
