Elijah McAllister talks about what playing the JACK position looks like
The JACK position is a signature part of defensive coordinator Ron Robert's defense.
Many Auburn fans have wondered what the position's responsibilities are and is it basically the edge rusher position.
Elijah McAllister joined the Locked On Auburn Podcast and explained the role of the JACK.
Here was McAllister's response, "A lot of different things. You can rush the passer, stop the run, cover tight ends, running backs, and all different things and places in coverage. So it's a lot of different things Jack linebacker can do, and I'm excited to be able to put my best foot forward in all aspects."
The JACK's we expect to see are McAllister, Keldric Faulk, Stephen Sings, and Jalen McLeod.
It will be fun to watch these guys get after opposing quarterbacks and hopefully cause issues for opposing offensive coordinators all season long.
