The Auburn Tigers need to add some transfer portal talent at cornerback this offseason.

Thankfully, they have, and in a big time way. Former Alabama football cornerback Antonio Kite has committed to Auburn, per his social media. Kite was a four-star prospect in the 2023 class and entered the transfer portal just days after former Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban retired.

Lean, wiry build that is a bit narrow, but possesses space to add some mass. Unverified size but height appears above average," 247Sports scouting analyst Gabe Brooks said. "Plays long. Limited verified data but plays fast and smooth. Two-sport standout with D-I offers in basketball as well. Functional athleticism translates to the gridiron. Fluid, natural athlete. Longer stride that builds vertical speed, but also shows above average initial burst and acceleration. Likewise, above average change-of-direction ability relative to somewhat higher-cut build."

247Sports had Kite as a projected NFL Draft pick once his collegiate career is over, landing somewhere between the 4th and 7th round. The 6-foot-1, 182-pound corner has four years of eligibility remaining.

Auburn now has eight commitments through the transfer portal, including Mississippi State offensive tackle Percy Lewis, Texas defensive lineman Trill Carter, Maryland tight end Rico Walker, California wide receiver Sam Jackson V, Duke linebacker Dorian Mausi, Kansas defensive lineman Gage Keys and Georgia State wide receiver Roberts Lewis.

The Auburn Tigers have an opportunity to capitalize on Alabama's turnover at head coach and make progress with both recruits and transfers in the coming months.
