Four-star interior offensive lineman Casey Poe puts Auburn in his top eight
Casey Poe is a six-foot-five, 280-pound offensive lineman in the class of 2024 from Lindale, Texas.
Poe recently released a list of his top eight schools, which included Auburn, Oklahoma, LSU, Georgia, Texas Tech, Clemson, Alabama, and Baylor.
He is currently ranked as the 149th-best player in the 2024 class, according to 247Sports.
Interior offensive linemen are rarely ranked as high as tackles, even if they have the talent, so seeing Poe in the top 150 tells you all you need to know about him.
Interestingly enough, Poe played a good amount of snaps at left tackle and left guard for his high school last season.
His tape is just out of this world. Poe's instincts as a guard and tackle are impressive. He pulls well from the guard spot, gets off of double teams with ease, and unleashes the boom on linebackers after he has climbed.
Poe's ability to play both tackle and guard will be something coaches will love to see at the next level.
Poe was originally offered by the previous regime at Auburn, so the new staff will make sure to put a star next to this recruitment, as he is a player who can make an immediate impact.
He was on campus on March 13th for an unofficial visit, so hopefully, Coach Freeze and company can get this talented lineman back for an official visit.
If Auburn could land Poe, he would make this football team better the minute he steps on campus.
