National signing day is here for the BYU football program. In our preview article for the early signing window, we said, "This signing day will be more fun than the last five signing days combined." Today is expected to be an action-packed signing day with multiple priority targets coming off the board. This article will serve as a live tracker for all BYU-related signing day news - it will be updated throughout the day.
BYU National Signing Day Updates
- 7:10 AM: Tre Alexander is the first signing of the day. Alexander brings elite length and athleticism to BYU's cornerback room.
- 7: 15 AM: West High School offensive lineman Nuku Mafi has signed with Oklahoma State. BYU pushed to flip Mafi late in his recruitment. He was on campus for an official visit, and there was a lot of optimism around a potential flip. The Cowboys were able to hold on.
- 7:28 AM: BYU has signed defensive end Adney Reid. Reid is living in Sydney, Australia while his parents serve as mission presidents.
- 7:30 AM: Texas defensive back Matthias Leach is officially a BYU Cougar. Leach is one of a handful of recruits from Texas in the 2024 class.
- 7:38 AM: Defensive end Siosefa Brown has signed. Brown committed to BYU nearly a year ago over a handful of P4 competition. BYU needs pass rushers and that's exactly what Brown will bring to the BYU defense.
- 7:40 AM: Quarterback Enoch Watson is in. Watson prepped at American Leadership Academy in Arizona. He was coached by former BYU greats Ty Detmer and Max Hall.
- 7:42 AM: Weber State transfer Jack Kelly has signed his NLI. Kelly is one of the top linebackers in the transfer portal. He was given a four-star transfer rating by 247Sports. Kelly is a proven pass-rushers at the FCS level - his nickname was Sack Kelly.
- 7:45 AM: American Fork wide receiver Jett Nelson has signed. He could end up playing a few different positions at BYU.
- 7:47 AM: Longsnapper Cannon Skidmore has signed his NLI.
- 7:49 AM: Defensive lineman Dallin Johnson is in. Johnson has been committed to BYU since his freshman year of high school. After a long wait, Johnson is officially a BYU Cougar.
- 7:51 AM: Safety prospect Thomas Prassas has signed his NLI.
- 7:55 AM: Texas quarterback Noah Lugo has signed his NLI. BYU flipped him from UTSA earlier this year. Lugo is a true dual-threat quarterback.
- 7:57 AM: Texas cornerback Jonathan Kabeya has signed his NLI. He could contribute early in his BYU career,
- 8:04 AM: After committed to BYU on Tuesday night, Ephraim Asiata has signed his NLI. Ephraim is the son of former Utah legend Matt Asiata.
- 8:11 AM: Kicker Brody Laga has signed his NLI
- 8:12 AM: Pitt transfer and punter Sam Vander Haar has signed his NLI. He is the third specialist to sign with the Cougars.
- 8:16 AM: Defensive end Devoux Tuataga signed his NLI. Tuataga, a four-star prospect per Rivals, picked BYU over a long list of P4 suitors.
- 8:22 AM: JUCO defensive lineman Luke To'omalatai is officially a BYU Cougar. To'omalatai committed to BYU after taking an official visit earlier this month.
- 8:35 AM: California linebacker Blake Lowe is in. Lowe committed to BYU a few months ago.
- 8:40 AM: Athlete Carson Suโesuโe has signed with BYU. He played quarterback but he will likely play another position at BYU.
- 8: 58 AM: The first surprise of signing day! BYU has flipped former Utah signee Viliami Po'uha. Viliami is the son of now BYU defensive line coach Sione Po'uha.

- 9:25 AM: The second signing day surprise. Wide receiver Tei Nacua has committed to BYU. Tei is the younger brother of Puka, Samson, and Kai Nacua.
- 9:45 AM: Australia native Sani Tuala is officially signed. Tuala picked BYU over Washington, Utah, and others. He is just scratching the surface of his potential.
- 10:05 AM: Offensive lineman Ikanisio Tupou is officially on board. Tupou picked BYU over a long list of Power Four suitors.
- 5:15 PM: BYU picked up a signing day commitment from defensive lineman Kini Fonohema. Fonohema picked BYU over fellow finalists Oregon State and Utah.
