Cincinnati Bearcats Good, Bad, & Ugly: 2024 Big 12 Tournament Game One
TUNNEL HILL — The Cincinnati Bearcats were behind a good bit of the second half however they bounced back to defeat the West Virginia Mountaineers 90-85 in the first round of the Big 12 tournament.
Check out the Good, Bad, & Ugly below.
The Good: Two players really balled out in today’s game. Day Day Thomas and Simas Lukosius. They both had over 25 points on the day as Thomas had 29 and Lukosius had 31. This game wouldn’t have been close without these two guys. Thomas also hit the game-closing shot to secure the win from the corner. What a shot that was!
The Bad: They allowed multiple (5) players to have double-digit points on the day for the Mountaineers. They were getting attacked by many different targets as the defense couldn’t limit damage from a versatile WVU offense.
The Ugly: Two starters for the Bearcats fouled out as John Newman III and Aziz Bandaogo left the contest. It made the game a little to close for comfort considering they just blew them out on Saturday.
