CINCINNATI — Bearcats legend Ahmad 'Sauce' Gardner put on a show during his rookie season in the NFL.

The 22-year-old quickly established himself as one of the best cornerbacks on the planet.

Gardner was rewarded for his stellar play on Thursday night when he was named Defensive Rookie of the Year.

He finished with 75 tackles and two interceptions in 17 games. Gardner was tasked with guarding some of the NFL's best wide receivers and performed well, despite being one of the youngest players in the league.
