De'Arre McDonald, Alex Bales Enter Names Into Transfer Portal
CINCINNATI — Two Bearcats football players joined the transfer portal this month. Redshirt sophomore safety De'Arre McDonald was the first one to enter his name on March 4.
He was a three-star recruit in 2020 but appeared in just one game since coming to Clifton. Next up is junior kicker Alex Bales who entered the portal on March 9. Bales booted 90 kickoffs at UC, posting 48 touchbacks. He also made 2-of-5 field-goal attempts and 12 of 13 extra-point tries.
Cincinnati brought in Delaware transfer Ryan Coe to be the full-time kicker for a bottom-five FG kicking unit in the country last season.
