CINCINNATI — UC football takes a big jump up in competition this week as the high-powered offense of Oklahoma comes to town. The Sooners are averaging the third-most points in the country through three games (55.7 PPG).

Quarterback Dillon Gabriel (66-of-80, 905 yards, 11 TDs, 1 INT) has done a fantastic job leading one of the fastest and best offenses in America.

"They stress you defensively, horizontally and vertically," UC head coach Scott Satterfield said about the battle. "Keep the pressure on the defense and they go extremely fast. There's zero hesitation in them snapping a football and you have to get lined up quickly. You have to be ready to go with what formations they're gonna show you. They're very good at what they do."

Cincinnati's maintaining a great time of possession advantage so far this season and it's crucial they control the ball in this game (t-fifth nationally in TOP: 34 minutes per game). Oklahoma is 37th nationally in FBS plays per game (72.7) and 10th in yards per play (7.4).

"I played Dillon at UCF," veteran defensive back Taj Ward said. "It was very fast. That tempo can try to mess the mind a little bit when you get tired, but we're gonna have to work on that and practice and come ready for it."

Cincinnati is a 14.5-point underdog in the game as of this writing.
