CINCINNATI — UC football head coach Scott Satterfield is largely pleased with the seven-deep offensive line depth chart the team is exiting Camp Higher Ground with.

Center Gavin Gerhardt is the only returning starter on the entire offense.

"I think we feel pretty good of at least seven guys," Satterfield said. "We'll try to get the eighth guy ready as we go into next week We feel pretty good about seven, and that's typically about what you have going into the season where you have seven guys that can rotate in. Eight would obviously be better but I think seven for sure."

From my view at practice a couple of weeks ago the starters in order looked like: LT John Williams, LG Dartanyan Tinsley, C Gavin Gerhardt, RG Luke Kandra, RT Deondre Buford

Satterfield's been impressed with the two tackles' growth in the past few weeks.

"He's getting better and better, new system, new offense, new calls, all those things," Satterfield said about Buford. "He's shown improvement. We gotta get him more consistent, I think is the big thing because he shows what he can do and then a couple of plays later he's letting his guy get through. So we got to get more consistent with that, but we're pleased with that first unit up front. I think they've gelled well, they're playing as one and that's key. ... From the Spring to now big improvement. Both of those guys (Williams, Tinsley) we feel really good about those guys. They really settled in taking the coaching from Coach Cardwell and they've gotten themselves ready to play, those guys are ready. And I'm excited to watch them go out and play this fall."
